Hiking in the Münsterland

X-Ways: Main hiking trails of the Westphalian Heritage Association

The X trails form the perfect basis for exploring the region. Divided into 24 main hiking trails and a number of connecting and circular trails, this network of hiking trails stretches over a length of 2,500 kilometres through the entire Münsterland region. It is managed by the Westphalian Heritage Association. Its trademark is the white St Andrew's cross, which shows hikers the way through nature.

The following hiking trails lead through the city of Beckum:

Main hiking trail X 1
Start and end point: Olfen - Lippstadt
Length: approx. 102 km

Main hiking trail X 23
Start and end point: Bad Laer - Lippetal-Lippborg
Length: approx. 75 km

This meets the main X 2 hiking trail on the edge of the Beckum district of Vellern, which you can follow in the direction of either Ennigerloh or Oelde-Stromberg.
