For example, the convention states:- People with disabilities should be able to participate everywhere
- Therefore there should be no barriers
- People with disabilities should have the same rights,
like all other people
Germany has also signed the UN Convention.

In September 2018, the City Council of Beckum adopted the Inclusion Plan.
The plan describes 50 tasks.
These must be implemented.
A few measures must be completed in 3 years.
Other measures in 5 or more than 5 years.The inclusion plan is not barrier-free.

There are wheelchair-accessible toilets in Beckum.
This means the toilets are bigger.
People in wheelchairs with a fan can use them.
All toilets cost 20 cents.
The Euro key opens them for free.The toilet at the Vellern sports field is always open. It costs nothing.

The key opens many wheelchair-accessible toilets in Germany and Europe.Persons with disabilities can buy the key.
