Hansa Convention: Beckum delegation in Fürstenau

The 40th Westphalian Hanse Convention took place this year in the best sunshine in the joint municipality of Fürstenau. "Together with more than 100 people from Beckum, we can promote the Hanseatic Days 2024 and the 800th anniversary of the city of Beckum and take the Hanseatic idea back home with us," Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich said happily.

Beckum is eagerly awaiting the 41st Westphalian Hanseatic Day. Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich visits the city marketing stand together with his wife Anna and department head Uwe Denkert. Marianne Witt-Stuhr and Pascal Rückert are delighted.

After a well-attended first day of the event and a presentation at the Westphalian Hanseatic Conference, the Beckum delegation took part in the Hanseatic parade on the second day together with representatives from the town council. Also present were the fanfare corps Weiß-Rot, the Beckum Bauknechte, various shooting clubs and a large delegation of Beckum carnivalists.

"A special highlight was the performance by young dancers from the Freizeithaus in Neubeckum," said a delighted Marianne Witt-Stuhr as head of city marketing, who was in charge of the stand of the city of Beckum together with her colleague Pascal Rückert. The two also had the first merchandising products for the Hansa Days 2024 and a lot of information and brochures about the Beckum region in their luggage.
