Hansa Convention casts its shadow ahead
When the 41st Westphalian Hansa Convention is celebrated in Beckum next year, the area around Oststraße and Clemens-August-Straße will be historic. This is where the Hansa Market will pitch its tents on 8 and 9 June 2024. Up to 47 Hanseatic cities will then present themselves on site. There will also be a stage programme, Hansa games for young and old, and other surprises.
Eye-catcher transported to Beckum
The replica of a historic city gate will serve as a special eye-catcher and entrance to the Hanseatic market. This was erected at the Hanseatic Day 2022 in Attendorn and has now been transported from the Sauerland region to Beckum with the help of two local companies. The city gate, which was dismantled into several individual parts, was transported to Beckum on a semi-trailer on a journey lasting several hours.
City gate will initially be stored
Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich and Torsten Zeising from City Marketing took delivery of the replica gate at its arrival point, where it will now be stored until the Westphalian Hanseatic Day next year.
