Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich had the figures ready: "4,000 square metres of asphalt (base and surface course) were laid for the carriageways, 2,700 square metres of concrete block paving for the footpaths and car parks, 1,300 square metres of green space were completed and 32 trees were planted." 1 lime tree, 16 columnar hornbeams and 15 iron trees can be found along the newly built roads. This construction phase cost around 1 million euros.

This means that 7 ½ roads have already been completed as part of the final expansion of the Pflaumenallee-Ost construction area. Heinrich-Dirichs-Straße and Zur Goldbrede were completed in 2021, Oberer Dalmerweg and Jupp-Rack-Weg in 2018. Tönne-Arnsberg-Straße and Menni-Rosendahl-Straße followed in 2020.

What's next:
The eastern section of Dechant-Schepers-Straße will be completed by STRATIEF Straßen- und Tiefbau GmbH from the beginning of May 2023 at a cost of around 650,000 euros.
