Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich received the lively guests in two groups in his office and never failed to answer their questions.

As mayor, Gerdhenrich chairs the council meetings and is the head of the town and the head of administration in one person. The children now know that. Around 500 people work in the administration in various departments and organisations, from the fire brigade to the municipal companies, from the public order office to the cultural office, from business development to the kindergarten.

The second group of "Little Rascals" also has lots of questions for the mayor.

The highlight of the visit was the search for the town key and the chain of office. The mayor wears the chain on special occasions and hands over the key to the respective carnival prince for the carnival days. In this way, he symbolically holds the city and the town hall in his hands during this time.
