Date for ISEK project postponed

2nd workshop on the conversion of the Neubeckum public library and leisure centre on 21 June

The venue is still the event hall of the Neubeckum leisure centre. All interested parties are cordially invited!

As part of the Neubeckum integrated urban development concept (ISEK), the Neubeckum public library and the Neubeckum leisure centre are to be renovated and converted. The focus is on the future cooperation between the library and the district centre. The commissioned architectural firm Sickmann from Hoetmar will present the advanced design at the workshop and information event. This will be followed by an opportunity for suggestions and discussion.

The building is to be made accessible and functionally merged between the library and the leisure centre. The current traditional library will be converted into a contemporary library and the leisure centre will become the future district centre. The access situation was explained in detail at an initial workshop in April. The architects had developed two different lift options with a barrier-free ramp in the outdoor area. The location of the lift was decided by the Committee for Construction, Environment, Climate Protection, Energy and Public Procurement in May.
