Anniversary contribution from BE-lebt

Collage shows the diversity of life in Beckum

A special work of art for Beckum's town anniversary consists of 100 lovingly designed canvases. The volunteer team from BE-lebt successfully entered the project in the city of Beckum's ideas competition for the 800th anniversary of the city. Thanks to the financial support, BE-lebt was able to purchase 100 small canvases measuring 20 x 20 centimetres and hand them out to creative Beckum residents. The white canvases were quickly allocated.

One by one, they came back as lovingly designed mini works of art and were then put together to form a large work of art. And so the collage, measuring around 2.20 metres square, shows a great artistic overview of the diverse life in Beckum, the landmarks, nature and much more.

The artwork can now be admired in the BE-lebt shop, Nordwall 49, during the usual opening hours (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 3 to 6 pm; Wednesday and Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm).

It will be auctioned off for a good cause as part of the anniversary weekend on Sunday, 9 June at 12 noon on the market square stage. Until then, all Beckum residents can vote in the shop for which charity should receive the money raised at the auction.
