Bundesdruckerei reports delivery problems with passports

The current waiting time for passports is 8 to 10 weeks. This is pointed out by the Citizens' Office of the town of Beckum.

Bundesdruckerei cites a particularly high volume of orders and limited production capacities as the reason for this. However, efforts by the passport manufacturer have at least ensured that orders in the express procedure are not affected by delays.

Beckum residents should bear this in mind when planning their holiday and apply for new ID documents at the Citizens' Office in good time. Anyone who has already applied for a passport at the Citizens' Office and needs it for an upcoming trip at short notice should contact the Citizens' Office.
