MINTmachtag at the primary school Mitte

Around 340 children from Mitte primary school and 52 future first-graders took on the role of researchers and stopped off at numerous stations to immerse themselves in the subjects of maths, IT, science, technology, sustainability and law in a fun way.

Not so easy: Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich also had a look around the stations.
Today you will certainly not be judged on your performance. Curiosity is enough. Because if you're interested, you automatically become smarter."

With these words, Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich welcomed the children and thanked the participating organisations and the school management for this special day of learning. In addition to stations organised by the teachers, there were also research offers from the waste management company of the district of Warendorf, the Beckum public library, the child protection association, the Emshof, the regional education network, Celine Vogt, the media competence centre and the office for environmental protection of the district of Warendorf, the educators' class of the vocational college and Phänomexx.

The STEM power days are organised by the "Stiftung Kinder forschen" foundation from Berlin. The day was coordinated by the regional education network of the district of Warendorf and the Mitte primary school.
