3 flocks of sheep maintain urban green spaces

Animal landscape conservationists back in action

This year there will be around 400 animals in 3 herds. It will start with two herds on Ahlener Straße near the observation tower and on the Werse near the A2 motorway. The orchard on Ahlener Straße near the Wersemühle will be tended by a third herd at the end of the weekend.

Good to know!
The town of Beckum once again expressly points out that feeding and petting the animals is prohibited. It is also forbidden to enter the grazing areas. Dogs are requested to be kept on a lead in the vicinity of the herd.

If everyone sticks to these simple rules, the useful natural landscape conservationists remain unharmed and Vicky Diemel can go about her daily work unencumbered.

Sheep will also be sheared again in the coming weeks.
