"Market moments" on 26 April

Free bike wash at the weekly market

Just in time for the start of the cycling season, there will be a special event at Beckum's weekly market on 26 April. As part of the "Market Moments" series of events to revitalise the weekly market and make it more attractive, bicycles will be given a spring makeover.

Wheel wash

From 9 am to 1 pm, the team from radwaesche.de in Lünen will be ready and waiting for dirty bikes with its mobile bike wash. A gentle water jet, fully automatic washing brushes and mild, ecologically degradable cleaning agents ensure that your bike shines in new splendour in 3 minutes - and it's even free of charge. The wash is suitable for all bikes, except for bikes with balloon tyres.

This way, cyclists can do something good for their bikes and then stroll through the city centre, shop for fresh produce or enjoy the market atmosphere over a coffee.

Whether you're a regular or new to the weekly market, everyone is welcome to come along, take advantage of the free service and experience the weekly market at its liveliest. Of course, there may be waiting times, but as always, it's first come, first served.

The initiators of the market moments are delighted with this campaign: "This is how the market moments should be, a colourful mix of activities for young and old that make weekly market shopping even more attractive. The free bike wash is a great additional incentive to visit the city centre."
