New Contact Point for Housing Benefit Plus
This housing benefit reform is also associated with special requirements for the town of Beckum. A central contact point for applying for housing benefits has been set up so that residents can apply for housing benefits promptly.
Claims from the date of application
Due to the expected high number of new housing benefit applications, longer processing times must be expected. Of course, this will not result in any claims being lost, as the housing benefit is calculated retroactively from the date of application.

In order to be able to check your own possible entitlement to housing benefit in advance, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia offers a housing benefit calculator at www.wohngeldrechner.nrw.de. This housing allowance calculator can then be used to submit an online housing allowance application, which is processed by the Social Services Department of the City of Beckum as soon as it is received.
