Immediate action programme supports beauty salon

Banu Gezer from Enniger has recently started offering her services there. On 150 square metres, customers can expect a feel-good atmosphere with several treatment rooms, a retail area and a training area. Honey Be" is supported by the "Sofortprogramm Innenstadt"(immediate action programme for the town centre). Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich and city centre manager Helga Grothues were therefore among the first to congratulate the 25-year-old on her new business and wish the project every success.

Property owners need to be accommodating
Several people pull together for the NRW funding programme. For example, the property owners waive part of their rent to make it easier for the business owners to get started. The town of Beckum acts as a contractual partner and pays part of the rent, which it passes on in instalments.

Funding programme runs until the end of 2023
The City of Beckum's funding programme will run until the end of the year. It is therefore still open to creative people, business founders, start-ups and committed individuals who want to revitalise Beckum's town centre with their plans. The city is particularly looking forward to receiving applications from the creative retail sector, direct sales of agricultural products, regional retail showrooms, pop-ups, start-ups and ideas for cultural use, civic or neighbourhood uses or educational offers/workshops. Shops for unpackaged goods, for example, are at the top of the wish list. Existing concepts from the surrounding area can also be trialled here.
