Five travelling journeymen request city seal

Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich received a spontaneous visit from 5 travelling journeymen who passed Beckum Town Hall on their journey from Steinhagen to Soest.

On their journey of at least three years, the four carpenters and one joiner stopped off in Beckum today and asked Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich for a stamp of the town seal and a small donation. The head of administration gladly complied with the request, which was recited in verse, and wished them a safe journey and all the best for their travels.
