Anniversary weekend: What's on at the market square
Anticipation is building in Beckum for the big anniversary weekend from 7 to 9 June. Since August, Stefanie Heinzmann, Höhner, Jupiter Jones and DJ MBP from Beckum have been confirmed as the top acts.
Even if the show stars at the Westenfeuermarkt will certainly be a special attraction: The city anniversary has much more to offer. Details of the event areas throughout the city centre, with theatre, show programme, gastro mile, chill area, Hanseatic market, future mile and much more will be announced after Easter.
Programme on the marketplace stage
If you can't wait, you can already find information about the programme on the marketplace stage at www.beckum800.de, where popular bands and show acts will also provide a great atmosphere. On Friday evening, singer/songwriter Johele and Münster-based band "Die Zwillinge und die Blechgäng" will be among those kicking off the programme. It's great that the rocking twins are celebrating their 40th stage anniversary in Beckum to coincide with the city's big anniversary and will be presenting a potpourri from their extensive repertoire from the band's long history.
After the opening of the Hansemarkt on Saturday at 11 a.m., there will be dancing on the market square with Firlitanz from Soest and dance groups from the Freizeithaus as well as jazz with Buenos noJazz from Lippstadt. From 5.30 p.m., the audience will drum together with DRUMBOB.
When children's rooms are transformed into XXL stages, cuddly toys stage-dive and mum and dad are there live, there can only be one person at work: herrH. The children's songwriter plays on Sunday at 4 pm. Afterwards, Germany's youngest punk-pop band "De breaks" will sweep across the stage from 5 pm.
