Public participation in the Neubeckum outdoor pool at Kopernikus-Gymnasium
We have managed to find a suitable room in Neubeckum after all. Due to the great public interest and the current construction work in the Neubeckum leisure centre and at the Rosa Parks comprehensive school, no suitable premises were available in the district at the time of the invitation.
Thanks to the cooperation of Kopernikus-Gymnasium, the school canteen can now be used. For example, the school community is helping to set up the microphone system. "It's great that the school is supporting us here," says Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich.
What should Neubeckum outdoor pool look like in the future?
Neubeckum outdoor pool will be 85 years old this year. The non-swimmer and swimmer pools as well as the technical equipment are now due to be renovated in 2026. The gsf Planungsgesellschaft mbH, commissioned by the town of Beckum, will present possible refurbishment options at the public participation event. The feasibility study has identified 2 renovation options: renovation of the current 50 metre pool or reduction of the pool to 25 metres with an additional spray park and a climbing wall.
Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich and the planning office will present the options and answer questions. The favoured option will be determined in a subsequent discussion with the users.
