Funds from the Neubeckum town centre disposal fund
Colourful banners cover construction site
Passing motorists raise their thumbs, passers-by exclaim "looks great!" - Piece by piece, members of the trade association and the Neubeckum town centre management team are covering the construction fences on the corner of Hauptstraße and Spiekersstraße. Less and less can be seen of the construction site behind them in the centre of town, where nothing has been happening for some time. The banners are adorned with photos by photographer Wolfgang Immig and a skyline of the neighbourhood. The banners were designed and produced by his agency Creativ Werbung.
The idea for the campaign was born at a meeting of the Neubeckum trade association: when talking about the ruined building, someone laughingly threw in "cover up", and so the construction fence banners came to mind, which were immediately realised. Karl Pollmann KG spontaneously agreed to sponsor them. The trade association submitted an application for funding from the disposal fund, the advisory board agreed and the advertising agency got to work.
They have only been up for a few days and the banners have already become an eye-catcher and a talking point. No wonder, because until something happens on the construction site again, passers-by are now looking at beautiful Neubeckum motifs. "It's great that we're getting so many positive reactions," says Thomas Dreier, chairman of the Neubeckum trade association, and the two town centre managers.
