Beckum training fair offers many prospects and great surprises
Know what works with the BEAM
At the 5th edition of BEAM, 106 training companies and institutions will be presenting themselves to potential trainees in the workshops, training rooms, tents and on the open-air site of the Steinfurt-Warendorf District Craftsmen's Association in Beckum.
"BEAM is a flagship project," says Joachim Fahnemann, Chairman of the Management Board of the Ahlen-Münster Employment Agency. The fair can easily compete with all other vocational training fairs in the Münsterland region.

On the one hand, this is certainly due to the size and the wide variety of exhibitors, but certainly also to the many hands-on offers:
- In the workshops, the young people can try out their manual skills in bricklaying, building birdhouses, stamping, hairdressing or painting.
- The tyre change challenge awaits in the vehicle action area.
- VR glasses give visitors an insight into a wide variety of professional worlds.
- And if you want to hand in your application documents straight away to your potential employer, you can style yourself in the hairdressing workshop and go straight to the free application photo shoot.
Günter Schrade, Managing Director of the Beckum branch of the Steinfurt-Warendorf District Craftsmen's Association, is delighted that the modernised area is now available for BEAM again and offers even more space and opportunities: "We have invested a lot here, because the skilled trades are and will remain one of the main pillars of the economy."
Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich makes it clear that Beckum needs a training fair: "Unfortunately, we are no longer talking about a shortage of skilled labour, but increasingly about a shortage of skilled workers. It is no longer a matter of course to fill training places well. That's why it's so important to give young people an early orientation."
BEAM presents a wide range of career prospects. Even if the 10 professions that are particularly popular with young people hardly change over the years: There are over 400 different training opportunities. At the end of March, young people will be able to experience a good proportion of these up close in Beckum and make initial contacts in an informal setting. Whether for an internship, vocational training or a dual study programme: the trade fair can pave the way for your own professional future.
BEAM is a joint project of the Steinfurt-Warendorf District Craftsmen's Association, the Ahlen-Münster Employment Agency and the town of Beckum. Admission is free. A map of the fair and the list of exhibitors can be found at www.beam-beckum.de.
