Election notifications are on their way

26,932 people in Beckum are eligible to vote in the early Bundestag election on 23 February. The election notifications will be distributed this week.

Meanwhile, Beckum's election preparation team is delighted that all positions on the election committees have been filled. In fact, more volunteers than usual have come forward. A total of 266 elect oral assistants will be working at the polling stations and analysing postal votes. On election day, a further 16 people will be tasked with answering questions, recording the results after the ballot boxes have been closed and receiving and pre-checking the election documents.

Due to the shortened deadlines for this Bundestag election, the city of Beckum will receive the ballot papers on 7 February at the earliest. This means that postal voting documents can only be issued or sent out after this date. For this reason, the postal voting offices for direct postal voting at the adult education centre and Beckum town hall will also not be able to open until 10 February.
