Interim solution due to extensive refurbishment

Neubeckum leisure centre changes side of the road

An adequate interim solution has been found, the move to the other side of the street has been completed, the house number for the address has been changed and the open house is now permeated by the fine aroma of kale.

This Tuesday's hearty lunch marked the start of the Neubeckum leisure centre's activities in the temporarily rented rooms of the former DRK home at Gottfried-Polysius-Straße 5.

Whether lunch, sewing studio, yoga, gaming, art studio or 3D printer club: the replacement rooms leave hardly anything to be desired, the route remains almost the same for all user groups and the ground floor is barrier-free. This means that the usual leisure activities have a home again and can continue.


After the closure in January, the market café and dance programmes had already moved to other rooms and were able to continue without a break. Now almost all other meetings are possible again. The team at the leisure centre can be contacted at the usual times at Gottfried-Polysius-Straße 5 and on the previous telephone number 02521 29-5220.

The Neubeckum leisure centre is currently being extensively modernised and converted to make it barrier-free. The various parts will be more closely interlinked than before. As a result, the district centre at Gottfried-Polysius-Straße 6 will be closed for around a year.
