Notification from the district of Warendorf

District-wide tourism website relaunched

The camera pans over treetops into the Münsterland parkland, cyclists and horse riders enjoy summery paths through the cultural landscape and videos of the cycle paths at the Blue Lagoon and along the River Ems taken with drones show the routes worth seeing that can be discovered in the district of Warendorf. These impressions simply whet the appetite for a holiday in the Münsterland.

The tourist working group "Parklandschaft Kreis Warendorf" presents its new, modern website at www.parklandschaft-warendorf.de. The completely reprogrammed and redesigned website is the result of an interdisciplinary project by the district administration, according to the district of Warendorf.

"The relaunch of the internet portal was necessary due to the growing importance of online marketing for tourism activities such as cycling, horse riding, day trips and short breaks," explains District Administrator Dr Olaf Gericke. In order to offer both current and future guests an even better user experience, the website has been comprehensively revised and redesigned.

The design is fresh and modern and is closely orientated to the corporate design of the Münsterland region.

The main conceptual focal points of the new website include

  • Online travel guide: With a clear focus on core tourist competences such as cycling and horse riding, in particular the 100 Castles Route, the Ems Cycle Route, the Werse Cycle Route and the Warendorf Riding Route.
  • Activities: In addition to the central offers of cycling and horse riding, other leisure activities such as canoeing, hiking, picnicking and swimming lakes are also highlighted.
  • Accommodation and events: Guests can quickly find suitable accommodation options and can also book them directly online and receive the latest event information.
  • Service area: A request form for catalogues and an online shop round off the range of services.
