Beckum is so diverse and colourful

Photo campaign sends out a strong signal

In the anniversary year, many Beckum residents had their photos taken for the "We are all Beckum" campaign to show how diverse, tolerant and colourful Beckum is. The resulting large-scale collage with many faces can now be seen in all parts of the town.

Since today, the resulting large-scale banner with many faces can be seen on the Sütfeldhaus on Beckum's market square, reminding us that each and every individual is a valuable part of the whole. The poster consisting of 126 pictures was also put up in Neubeckum, Vellern and Roland.

The Department of Youth and Social Affairs set up a photo box at the "Festival of Cultures" and the anniversary weekend and invited people to take part. The result was some great snapshots that show the diversity of people in our city and send a strong signal in favour of respectful coexistence, openness and a strong sense of community. After all, good cohesion could be experienced in many places during the anniversary year.

The initiators of the campaign would like to thank everyone who took part and wish the viewers lots of fun. The department includes early help, child day care, the Altes E-Werk youth centre, the Neubeckum leisure centre, school social work, integration management and advice and support for people with disabilities.
