Pay parking fees via app

If you want to park in one of the 4 managed car parks in Beckum, you no longer have to search for small change or the nearest parking ticket machine: From 1 February, parking fees can also be paid easily using a smartphone.

To this end, the town of Beckum is cooperating with smartparking, an initiative of several providers of digital payment systems. The following apps can be used in Beckum: Easy Park, mobilet, PayByPhone, Parkster and Parco.

Drivers enter their parking time via app and can extend it if necessary. The ticket inspectors read the licence plate to determine whether a digital ticket has been issued. Depending on the app selected, car park users will be charged a surcharge per transaction or on a pro rata basis. The apps can be used for the municipal car parks at the town hall, Elisabethstraße, Clemens-August-Straße and Nordwall.

The city of Beckum would like to point out that the previous parking fee intervals and maximum parking duration have not been changed. Parking by mobile phone is an additional service. The parking ticket machines remain in operation and continue to offer the option of paying by card or cash.
