Routes are diverted

Holcim West Zement GmbH is currently preparing for further limestone extraction in the Kollenbach 2 and Lippberg-Nord quarries. Two roads are being diverted for this purpose.

Diversion for local traffic
For the development of the Vellern-Süd extraction area in the Kollenbach 2 quarry, the Knükel farm track in the area of Oelder Straße is expected to be closed for several years from next week. During the extraction and recultivation phase, the diversion will be via the Westhöfe farm track. This applies exclusively to local traffic. The road will remain closed to all other traffic.

Due to the progress of the excavation at the Lippweg-Nord quarry, Pflaumenallee is to be relocated and rebuilt towards the city centre. The company will also be starting preparations here shortly. As soon as the new section has been completed, the existing route will be closed.
