The vast majority of dog owners behave in an exemplary manner. Unfortunately, however, the city of Beckum has recently received an increasing number of complaints about disorderly dog ownership - be it because of dog excrement or off-leash dogs.
In an impressive concert, the School of Music in the District of Warendorf brought together large and small musicians with the most diverse migration histories and thus gave the audience a special artistic treat.
Since the beginning of the week there are two more possibilities to dispose of used glass in Beckum. Two containers each for white and coloured glass are now available at the "Nordwall" car park and on the parking strip of the street "Am Lippbach". From the beginning of October, another location will be added, the car park at the Eichendorff gymnasium.
Great news for Beckum's city centre: The volunteer-run shop "BE-lebt" with local and Fairtrade products leaves the funding phase and stands on its own feet.
As the framework conditions at the state level are still unclear, the introduction of the 2024 budget to the Beckum City Council, originally planned for 19 October, has to be postponed to 19 December.
