Lecture series
The ABC of Education
The series starts on 30 August with educationalist and family counsellor Inke Hummel. In everyday family life, parents often end up at the two extremes of scolding and false spoiling, says Hummel. In her lecture "Raising in Relationship", the Spiegel bestselling author shows ways in which a strong relationship with the child can strengthen their development and attachment security.
On 27 September, the lecture by qualified sex educator and therapist Dirk Achterwinter will focus on "the ABCs of parenting". Using keywords such as "M for power struggles", the lively discourse will look at what can provide orientation and security.
In his lecture on 26 October, Peter Hebeisen, a qualified teacher and coach, will focus on the child's ego. Under the title "Motive for action: belonging", the speaker will take the audience on an educational journey of discovery in a moving one-man play, focusing on conspicuous behavioural patterns.
All lectures are free of charge, start at 7.30 pm and take place in the Beckum Municipal Theatre. Registrations are now being accepted by Ursula Bergel, bergel@beckum.de, 02521 29-5150. The lecture series is supported by the Wiedeking Foundation.
