Fresh Air Culture 2023 is unfortunately cancelled
From 29 July to 6 August 2023, Beckum's 4th "Fresh Air Culture" was to take place in the Ständehaus Garden. A mix of different cultural genres for young and old should again expand the cultural offer.
In order to be able to offer the people of Beckum a high-quality cultural programme despite the Corona pandemic and in consideration of the stipulated conditions, the event format "Fresh Air Culture" was held for the first time in 2020 and as a "substitute programme" in the Ständehausgarten in cooperation with the cultural initiative FILOU e. V..
After audience numbers had steadily declined in 2021 and 2022, a new concept was developed. The current ticket sales around 3 weeks before the start of this year's Frischluftkultur make it clear that even the new concept is not finding the desired and necessary response. So far, only about 10 per cent of the tickets have been sold in advance. This further manifests the steadily declining interest in the format. One reason for this is the fact that in the meantime all events, including non-city events and free events, are again being held as in the time before Corona. The range of events on offer today is therefore not comparable with the range of events in 2020 and subsequent years.
Children's programme takes place
Only the Filou holiday fun for children from 31 July to 2 August 2023 and the children's events on 5 August (Die Blindfische) and 6 August (Ringa von Rattenau) will take place. Instead of the Ständehausgarten, these events will now take place at the Stadttheater Beckum, Lippweg 4. Purchased tickets remain valid for the municipal theatre.
Purchased tickets will be refunded
Tickets purchased so far for the evening events of "Fresh Air Culture" on 29 July (The Bluesanovas), 30 July (Sofia Lainovic), 02 August (Pique-Nigue en blanc), 03 August (The Song of the Crayfish), 04. August (Threepwood 'N Strings) and 05 August 2023 (Lucy van Kuhl/Miriam Hanika) as well as the family magic show on 30 July (Felix Wohlfahrt) and the graffiti workshop on 01 August 2023 will be reimbursed in the next few weeks.
Tickets for children's events
Tickets for the children's events at the municipal theatre can still be purchased at tickets.filou-beckum.de or at the civic offices of the city of Beckum. Registrations for the Filou-Ferienspaß can be made until the end of July at anmeldung.filou-beckum.de.
