Green light for annual financial statements, fire engine and city figures
At the council meeting on 7 September, the 2022 budget of the city of Beckum was finalised and the actions of Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich were approved. The Chairman of the Audit Committee had previously reported on the results of the in-depth audit by an independent auditing company, which, like the committee, had no objections to the figures. The 2022 annual financial statements show a surplus of 5,316,889.20 euros. This will be transferred in full to the equalisation reserve.
Open Sunday on 15 October
"Beckum has many faces - We are the centre: StadtGESTALTEN": As part of this City.Initiative event on Sunday, 15 October, the neighbouring shops are allowed to open from 1 pm to 6 pm. The Council has cleared the way for this. The "StadtGESTALTEN" event series with living figures is taking place for the 4th time. There will also be music and hands-on activities for children.
