In the presence of colleagues, superiors and personnel managers, the head of administration presented certificates to the employees celebrating their jubilee and expressed his thanks and appreciation for their many years of commitment to the city of Beckum. In his speech, Gerdhenrich said that all of them had put their heart and soul into their work and that it had certainly never been boring.

Heiner Ahlmer, Chairman of the Staff Council, also took the opportunity to thank the colleagues. In addition to the certificates, there were flowers and presents. During a joint breakfast, the guests of honour exchanged views with their colleagues.

The spectrum of professions and fields of activity is diverse: those who have left and those who have celebrated their jubilee have worked as nursery school teachers, school secretaries, carpenters or groundskeepers, or were most recently employed in the Citizens' Advice Bureau, the Youth and Social Affairs Department, the Cultural Office, the Central Services Department, the City Treasurer's Office or the Adult Education Centre.
