42,000th swimmer welcomed at the end of the season

Wolfgang Somfleth is a regular visitor to the Neubeckum outdoor pool and has already been there 80 times this season. A nice surprise awaited him during his visit on Friday morning.

The regular swimmer was welcomed as the 42,000th swimmer with a bouquet of flowers and a season ticket donated by the Förderverein Neubeckum e. V. (Neubeckum Friends' Association).

2024 season
On the last day of opening, the pool team looks back on the past season, which started on 12 May. In 2024, a total of 2,277 more bathers were counted compared to the previous year. It was at its busiest on 12 August with 1,728 bathers. Special highlights were the outdoor pool festival organised by the sponsors' association and the swimming festival for the 3rd classes of the two Neubeckum primary schools.

And thankfully this too: 5,247 children and young people had free admission during the summer holidays thanks to Reinhard Habrock's fantastic fundraising campaign. He had extended his campaign from last year to 2024. And it was well received by the young people: The gift was accepted twice as often as last year. The carnival singer has promised to give children and young people free entry to the Neubeckum outdoor pool during the 2025 summer holidays too!
