Contribution of the ISG "Wir von der Oststraße" to the 800th city anniversary

Relaxed and delicious: brunch on Oststraße

Last Saturday, Beckum's Oststraße was transformed into a long table. The event was organised by the property and location association "Wir von der Oststraße" e. V.. A grant from the 800th anniversary celebrations made it possible.

Over 100 guests had registered in advance for the open-air breakfast. And so the participants of the ISG "Wir von der Oststraße" started setting up early in the morning with strong support from the neighbourhood. By 9.30 a.m., the first guests were already choosing the best seats.

The breakfast table wound its way from Anton Samson to Th. Schulte. The bright yellow tablecloths, colourful table decorations, additional trees from the Wille nursery and red carpets created a beautiful ambience and attracted curious glances.

The pre-ordered seats were filled in no time and the Schulte-Assmann catering service had something for everyone, from bread rolls and scrambled eggs to salads and other delicacies. They also kept topping up the food so that nobody went hungry.

Thanks to the good weather, both the guests and the helpers had a wonderful morning together. Many were already hoping for a repeat performance. The breakfast organised by the ISG "Wir von der Oststraße" once again demonstrated the good local community spirit.
