The town of Beckum welcomes new trainees

Two administrative assistants, a trainee inspector, an emergency paramedic and an emergency paramedic as well as a trainee for the practice-integrated training as an educator spent their first day at the city administration on 1 August.

Elmar Liekenbröcker (Head of the Law, Security and Order Department) and Arnulf Sonnenburg (Head of the Internal Administration Department) warmly welcomed the new trainees to the town hall. Doris Hölling, head of training, gave an initial overview of the structure and tasks of local government.

Afterwards, a varied programme awaited the new recruits: first, they had breakfast together with trainees from previous recruitment years. This was followed by an overview of the day-to-day business of the town of Beckum and a tour of the town hall and the Ständehaus. This was followed by a lunch break organised by the youth and trainee representatives, during which they cooked together. After refreshments, the afternoon was spent getting to know each other.

The trainees in administration and the trainee nursery school teacher started their training on 1 August, while the trainees in the emergency medical service and the trainee municipal inspector start their training on 1 September.
