"Hütchen Schulte" finds successor

Lena Wittenbrink took over the Th. Schulte shop at Oststraße 20 in Beckum on 1 July. Beckum locals also know the shop as "Hütchen Schulte". With its range of hats for men and women, the shop has a truly unique selling point in Beckum and the surrounding area.

The Th. Schulte shop has existed since 1756, which is why the town of Beckum is all the more pleased that the business can continue to look to the future. The new owner, Lena Wittenbrink, wants to combine tradition with the new and modern. In future, the store will not only stock hats and fashion from well-known brands such as Brax and similar, but also fashion from more & more, Comma and s. Oliver Blacklabel.

The clearance sale is currently underway. After the official handover of the business by the previous owner, Lena Wittenbrink will be taking off with great commitment. This special day will be celebrated on 20 September and can therefore be easily combined with the Beckum wine tour organised by City.Initiative.Beckum, which takes place that evening.

Lena Wittenbrink will be supported by her husband Stefan Wittenbrink, who acquired the property from the current owner and is now gradually renovating and modernising it. But the well-known team from the Th. Schulte shop will also continue to be there for customers almost in full, so that regular customers will not miss anything.

Even though the official handover is still to come, the shop is of course already open and the team is looking forward to welcoming all customers who will accompany the customisation. It will be exciting to see what there is to discover now and in the future.

Sustainable inner cities and town centres" funding programme

The "Sustainable inner cities and town centres in North Rhine-Westphalia" funding programme enables properties to be rented at favourable rental conditions for a maximum period of 2 years.

The city of Beckum subsidises the rental of vacant shops and rooms for a wide variety of uses. However, the model only works if the owner also waives part of the basic rent for the subsidised period. The town of Beckum has had very good experience with this so far.

City centre manager Helga Grothues is looking forward to more interesting concepts in Beckum's city centre. Interested founders or property owners of real estate in Beckum's city centre should contact Helga Grothues from the city centre management of the city of Beckum: 02521 29-1705, grothues@beckum.de.
