Climate protection prize 2024
First applications already received
Avoiding packaging waste, joint waste collection campaigns, climate working groups or species protection for endangered species: these and other activities are to be honoured with the City of Beckum's Climate Protection Award 2024.
2,000 euros to be won
This year's prize will once again be awarded for exemplary commitment that saves energy, increases energy efficiency, conserves resources, adapts to climate change or changes behaviour in a climate-friendly way. Awards can be given to projects on both technical measures and energy-saving behaviour. The climate protection prize is endowed with 2,000 euros. It can be split between several projects if necessary. The current application phase runs until 31 August.
What can be done?
The project must have been realised within the 18 months prior to the application or be so far advanced that initial results are already available. Applications are open to private individuals, companies, clubs, associations, educational establishments and social institutions based in Beckum.
How it works:
Climate protectors in Beckum should send the application form with a project description and photos to the City of Beckum's Environment and Greenery Department, Weststraße 46, 59269 Beckum or by email to hegemann@beckum.de or neuhaus.s@beckum.de. The jury, made up of members of the Climate Council, will decide on the most innovative and best projects for climate protection.
