"Hand in Hand" on 15 September

Planning in full swing

The integration council of the city of Beckum, Innosozial Ahlen and the city of Beckum have now invited people to a first organisational meeting. Once again, a colourful stage programme with singing and dancing groups from different countries in traditional costumes and with traditional instruments is planned. There will also be choir and live music on stage again. A wide range of information on the topic of integration will also be on offer. There will also be international delicacies. And the little ones can let off steam on the bouncy castle, have their faces painted or take part in hands-on activities.

Martin May-Neitemann from the Social Services Department of the City of Beckum and Hatice Yesilyaprak, Integration Officer at Innosozial Ahlen, emphasised the importance of the now traditional cultural festival at the Westenfeuermarkt as a link between people from different countries and cultures. Past festivals have already shown that people from different cultural backgrounds come together to enjoy the food and stage programme, especially through the information stands of the participating clubs and associations, and meet each other on an equal footing.

Participation still possible
The initiators would like to point out that, despite the advanced stage of organisation, it is still possible to participate in the organisation of the festival. For further information, please contact Marei-Liselotte Radke, Integration Officer for the town of Beckum, on 02521 29-5015 or Hatice Yesilyaprak from Innosozial Ahlen on 02382 7099-58.
