Way cleared for Batteriespeicher-GmbH and further planning for the redesign of the eastern Hellbach Valley
The council approved the establishment of Beckumer Batteriespeicher GmbH after EVB Managing Director Dr Daniel Dierich had informed the council and the public about the current status.
Also on the agenda was the preliminary draft for the redesign of the eastern Hellbach valley, including the ecological improvement of the Hellbach. A vote had to be taken on the suggestion/complaint of a citizen. The council members decided by a large majority not to comply with the suggestion/complaint in accordance with Section 24 of the Municipal Code for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and to press ahead with the plans on the basis of the preliminary draft already politically approved in April of this year.
