2 great theatre experiences in the open air

On Friday, 26 July at 8 pm, the NN Theatre from Cologne will be performing Henrik Ibsen's "Peer Gynt - the dream of the self". Peer, the son of a farmer, is young and playful. He detests work and deludes himself and others into believing a world that doesn't exist. Peer creates stories for Instagram or TikTok, just as he does today. But the "more appearance than reality" is increasingly coming apart at the seams as more and more people become entangled in his web of lies.

The NN Theatre embarks on a refreshingly contemporary theatrical journey, unravelling the colourful web of Peer Gynt. The dramatic poem by Henrik Ibsen is regarded as the Norwegian "Faust". The drama becomes particularly vivid when it is supported by the project choir. Around 25 singers have been rehearsing for this special event since April under the direction of Stefan Schoenefeldt.

Families with children should put one of the following dates in their diaries: The cultural initiative Filou presents the play "Schnickschnack & Schnuck auf der Jagd nach der Liebe" on Monday, 29 July on the town hall forecourt in Neubeckum and on Tuesday, 30 July on Beckum's market square, both at 5 pm. "To Mr Schnuck. Look for me! The dear..." - Schnickschnack was just about to write her name under the message when Schnuck walks back through the door. Mr Schnuck and his assistant Schnickschnack have just set up a detective agency and are eagerly awaiting their first case. The mysterious note comes just in time. For Mr Schnuck, the situation is clear: his love has disappeared and must be found again! Thus begins a turbulent chase and a fantastic journey around the globe.
