600 courses, events and much more

The programme brochure is divided into specialist areas and contains a small selection of events. The QR codes in the corners take interested parties directly to the homepage www.vhs-beckum-wadersloh.de or to subpages.

Booking is relatively simple: the course is placed in the shopping basket, personal details are added and registration for the course is possible. In case of difficulties, there are multimedia videos on the website, as well as the VHS, which can be contacted by telephone and is happy to provide support.

The motto "BE fair" once again focuses on treating each other with dignity and respect, "regardless of origin, ethnicity, religion, sexual identity or political views", but also in dealing with "the global South" and "nature", according to the introductory text.

Health, languages, IT and more
In terms of the number of courses, the health sector continues to take the lead (231 courses), followed by language and integration courses (136). However, politics, people and nature, fair trade and sustainable development, culture and design, careers and IT are also represented, as is education on demand. In total, there are almost 600 courses for the many interested parties, with more to be added over the course of the year.

Reaching more people
According to Adult Education Centre Director Dr Jürgen Rauter, the aim of the new concept in the form of the programme brochure is to reach more people and draw attention to the diverse programme. Training in the use of digital technology, such as iPads and iPhones, can be found in the brochure, as can the opportunity to catch up on school-leaving qualifications, benefit from remedial courses or attend a literacy course.
