The Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e. V. Ortsverband Beckum (German War Graves Commission), in cooperation with the town of Beckum and the shooting clubs, soldiers' associations, war victims' associations and other organisations, will be holding commemorative ceremonies on Remembrance Day on Sunday, 19 November.
In autumn, wet leaves can quickly turn pavements into a dangerous slippery slope. To avoid accidents, the owners of neighbouring properties must remove the leaves from the pavement in front of their own front door.

A touch of Hollywood for Neubeckum: the winning design in the design competition for neighbourhood furniture has been announced. The best designs in the student competition, organised by Verve! e. V. together with Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, have been awarded prizes. The winner is the "Typositz".
Due to the "All Saints' Day" holiday, the collection of residual waste containers and yellow bins will be postponed by one day from Wednesday, 1 November. The Friday district will be collected on Saturday, 4 November. The mobile hazardous waste collection unit will be at the recycling centre on 4 November.
