Best sportsmen and sportswomen honoured
The sportswomen and sportsmen nominated by the clubs in the municipal sports association were told at a ceremony in the customer hall of Sparkasse Beckum-Wadersloh which step of the winners' podium they were allowed to climb.
Best individual athletes
Jana Tscheptschenko is Sportswoman of the Year 2022 for her special achievements at the Hap-Ki-Do Club Beckum. Gymnast Lena Koslowski (TV Beckum 1892 e. V.) came in second place. Christian Hebert from Schützengilde Sandkuhle Beckum e. V. took third place.
Best teams
The lifeguards from DLRG Beckum-Lippetal Masters were awarded the winner's trophy for 1st place among the teams. The gymnasts (1st team - open age group) from TV Beckum 1892 e. V. took 2nd place in the team category. Third place went to the 13-14-year-old lifeguards from the local DLRG group in Beckum-Lippetal.
In the presence of the coaches and the group chairmen, the successful athletes received their prizes (city vouchers sponsored by Sparkasse Beckum-Wadersloh), trophies and certificates from the hands of Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich, Sparkasse board member Jürgen Wenning and Thomas Roßbach (city sports association).
The award ceremony took place on this smaller scale, as not all competitions could take place again in 2022 due to the coronavirus. As a result, there were fewer nominations.
