Blumenbecker donates for reforestation in Stadtbusch

Seedlings instead of Christmas cards: The Blumenbecker Group donates so that 1,250 seedlings can be planted in the Beckum city bush and secured against browsing.

According to the company's press release, the Blumenbecker Group has been foregoing Christmas presents for its customers and partners since 2017, instead donating to sustainable projects and people in need. In the last two years, two reforestation projects have already been implemented in Iserlohn and Möhnesee-Völlinghausen.

This year, the group is realising the sustainability project with the city of Beckum in the Stadtbusch.

"Beckum is the place where we have been successful for over 100 years. With this commitment, we want to give something sustainable back to the city. We are aware of the responsibility we bear for the future. With our sustainability project, we want to contribute to making the environment a little bit more liveable for us and future generations," says Olaf Lingnau, Managing Director of the holding company.

Uwe Denkert, Head of the Urban Development Department of the City of Beckum, is also pleased about the reforestation on an area of around 2,500 square metres: "Many thanks to the Blumenbecker Group for their commitment."
