Memorial service on Remembrance Day

The Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e. V. Ortsverband Beckum (German War Graves Commission), in cooperation with the town of Beckum and the shooting clubs, soldiers' associations, war victims' associations and other organisations, will be holding commemorative ceremonies on Remembrance Day on Sunday, 19 November.

Tea lights

The meeting point in Beckum is at 10.30 a.m. on the market square, where the procession will line up and march in silence to the memorial at Westenfeuermarkt at 10.45 a.m.. The memorial service there begins at 11.00 am. This year's address will be given by Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich as Chairman of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e. V. Ortsverband Beckum.

The memorial service in Neubeckum will take place at 11.30 a.m. at the memorial. This year's address will be given by Deputy Mayor Theresia Gerwing. At 11:15 a.m., the procession will line up at the car park behind the town hall.
