Meeting at the leisure centre

Integration network

The network, which was founded this year, meets four times a year to further develop the concept of integration work, close gaps in services in the context of migration and integration and improve opportunities for participation. It is made up of stakeholders from Beckum who are involved in integration, for example from civil society, administration and politics, social organisations or social infrastructure.

Presentation of the Career and Education Network
Johann Bernhard Holthausen reports on his work in the career and education network.

At yesterday's meeting, 2 institutions from the network introduced themselves in more detail. Jessica Dittmann and Natasha Mercy reported on the integration work of Innosozial. Johann Bernhard Holthausen presented the focal points of the Vocational and Education Network. Integration work is particularly important to both organisations. In the administration's report, Martin May-Neitemann, Head of Social Services, outlined the current refugee situation. According to him, although the accommodation poses a challenge, it is currently still manageable.

As the meeting progressed, the newly established working groups began their work. Two working groups deal with the areas of "Contact with municipal authorities" and "Organising living together in leisure time". Other key areas of work are mentoring and language mediation, which are jointly promoted in the network meetings. In the area of housing, technical comments were initially collected.

The Integration Network is open to all interested parties. If you are interested, please contact the Integration Manager Marei-Liselotte Radke.
