Saz course supported by Stärkungspakt NRW

The German-Turkish Cultural Association has recently started offering a Saz course. This course was co-financed with funds from the "Stärkungspakt NRW" and supported by the integration management of the city of Beckum.

In order to strengthen social services, the NRW state government has made additional funding available in 2023 with the "Strengthening Pact of North Rhine-Westphalia - Together Against Poverty". The city of Beckum received 187,000 euros from this funding pot, which it was able to pass on directly to counselling centres and social infrastructure facilities.

Saz course
The stringed instrument is mainly played in the areas from the Balkans to Afghanistan. The saz course takes place on Sundays from 12 to 2 pm in the association's rooms at Sternstraße 2. The taster course started on 22 October and runs until Christmas. Other interested people are welcome. Previous experience is not required for this course. A continuation in the new year is planned.
