25 years on the Council

Dr Rudolf Grothues, Rudolf Goriss and Peter Tripmaker have been members of Beckum town council for 25 years. Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich thanked them for their personal commitment before the council meeting.

"Whether as deputy mayor, parliamentary group chairman, committee chairman or as a member of the council and various committees: This honorary office is time-consuming and complex. This makes it all the more remarkable and honourable that you have all stuck with it for so long and have been carrying out your local political work with great dedication for a quarter of a century," said Gerdhenrich, paying tribute to their voluntary work and presenting the three of them with certificates and bouquets of flowers.
