Sewer renovation completed - now asphalt work

Work on the cement road is progressing well

The public combined sewerage system in Zementstraße between Oelder Straße and Wilhelmsstraße was renewed. The work started in July has already been completed. Now it is time to renovate the asphalt surface, including preparatory measures.

Temporary closure also for local residents
In order to be able to carry out this construction work as quickly as possible, the same section of Zementstraße will also have to be closed to local residents in addition to through traffic from 4 to probably 16 November.

Residents of the approximately 410 metre long section have been informed about the measure and alternative parking spaces will be made available to them. Access for emergency vehicles is guaranteed at all times. Footpaths and cycle paths can still be used. The pedestrian traffic lights between Wilhelmstraße and Obere Wilhelmstraße will be out of service during this period.

Without car traffic, the new asphalt layers can be laid more economically and quickly. As a result, the road is scheduled to open to local and through traffic in the second half of November 2024.
