Volunteering 2.0: Seek and ye shall find!

Looking for new volunteers or a new and fulfilling task? As a network partner of the Federal Association of Volunteer Agencies, the town of Beckum will be working with the "Aktion Mensch" volunteering platform in the future, thereby launching Volunteering 2.0.

This smart project now provides all Beckum residents with an uncomplicated platform for the supply and demand of voluntary work. Whether short-term commitment or regular volunteering, the platform quickly brings together those looking for both sides.

"We have been looking for a suitable service for some time to help us find organisations and people interested in volunteering. This free service is intended to create a lively platform and give those looking for help a good overview," says volunteer coordinator Karina Benjilany. She is on hand to answer any questions about the platform. Aktion Mensch's accessible platform can be accessed via this homepage. It can be filtered according to subject areas and volunteering times.

Olaf Schulte, Head of the Youth and Social Affairs Department of the town of Beckum, emphasises: "Volunteering is an essential pillar of society. That's why it's important for us to do everything we can to support it." The aim is both to maintain the active and lively club landscape and to help individuals. "The platform is an additional offer, and I am of course still available as a counsellor," explains Karina Benjilany.
