Women's walks 2025

The women's walks will take place again next year, where women can talk to each other in an informal way on new routes.

Women go for a walk

Since April this year, Renate Grob-Schlömer from Beckum and Marei-Liselotte Feile, Integration Manager for the town of Beckum, have been inviting women to go for a walk together once a month. The original idea originated in the USA and has now spilled over into major German cities. Women and children meet up to go for a walk together, chat and get to know old and new corners of the city.

The Beckum women's walks usually take place on the last Sunday of the month at 2.30 pm. The meeting point varies so that there is a different route to explore each time. The routes are around four kilometres long and take about 1.5 hours.

The dates for 2025 have already been finalised. Anyone interested should make a note of the following dates: 26 January, 2 March, 30 March, 27 April, 25 May, 29 June, 27 July, 31 August, 28 September, 2 November, 30 November and 28 December.

The meeting points are announced in advance and can be found in the events calendar on the city's website at www.beckum.de.
