Clear pavements of leaves, weeds and dirt

The same applies to weeds or dirt. This is provided for in the street cleaning statutes of the city of Beckum, according to which the cleaning of pavements has been transferred to the owners.

The scope of pavement cleaning is also set out in the bylaws. Accordingly, the pavements must be swept and litter removed as required, but at least once a week on weekdays and at the latest on Saturdays. Incidentally, it is irrelevant whether this is caused by passers-by (cigarette packets, drinks cans or similar) or animals (dog faeces) or by nature (leaves, branches, tree fruit). Weeds, grass, wild herbs, algae and other plants should therefore also be removed from the pavement surface. Extraordinary soiling must be removed immediately.

Sweepings, leaves and rubbish must not be swept onto the carriageway or into the gutter, but must be disposed of properly.
